My Method of Learning

We all learn differently and some have said that it is

difficult for them to learn from a video. I am one

of those people as well, so I am sharing with you how

I learn the dances that I teach you:

1. Watch the video of the dance demo.

2. Switch to the step sheet and use index cards to

rewrite each section the way you would imagine

that I would call the dance or however the steps

make sense to you. (I will include pictures of my hand-

written cue cards above. As time permits. This is a

work in progress.

3. Use your cue card the same way we would learn a

dance in class. Master one section at a time and then

add the next. No need to rewind the video.

4. Once you feel you have all sections mastered, turn

on the video and dance to the music. But be patient.

Just like in class, it may take you a few tries before

you can dance to the music.

Please let me know if you have any questions about my cue

cards or how to write your own.
